If you’ve been looking for another reason to jump back into Splatoon 3, Nintendo has something fun planned.
The Golden Egg Feast 2026 tournament is happening on November 7, giving Salmon Run players a chance to compete for physical prizes, including a Splatoon-themed gaming chair, trophies, backpacks, and more.
And you don’t need a full team of four friends to participate. Nintendo is allowing players to enter alone, with a partner, or in groups of three or four. Each group size will have its own competition rankings.
Here’s what you need to know before the event begins.
Salmon Run Takes Center Stage
Golden Egg Feast focuses entirely on Salmon Run, Splatoon 3’s cooperative mode where players work together to defeat waves of enemies and collect Golden Eggs. The tournament runs for two hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time on November 7.
Players will compete across four divisions:
- Solo: One player
- Pair: Two players
- Trio: Three players
- Team: Four players
Each division is ranked separately, so solo players won’t have to compete directly against organized four-player teams. Nintendo has announced two main scoring challenges.
The first rewards players for collecting the most Golden Eggs across four shifts. The second focuses on earning the most scale points in a single shift. The stage, supplied weapons, and King Salmonid will be revealed through the tournament’s management system within a week of the event.
What Prizes Can Players Win?
Nintendo is offering physical rewards for the highest-scoring participants. There will be 30 prize winners in total, split between the four divisions.
Ten grand prize winners will each receive a package containing:
- A Splatoon 3-themed gaming chair
- A Splatoon acrylic trophy
- A Splatoon 3 backpack
- A Splatoon 3 hip pack
- A Splatoon 3 pin set
Ten first prize winners will receive everything except the gaming chair.
Another ten second prize winners will receive the backpack, hip pack, and pin set. That makes this a little different from the usual in-game event. Players will be competing for something they can actually keep outside the game.
Of course, winning won’t be easy. The tournament uses player scores to determine the rankings, so strong teamwork and efficient Golden Egg collection will matter.
How to Register for Golden Egg Feast
Registration is already open.
According to Nintendo’s official tournament announcement, players must register through Tournament Manager in SplatNet 3, which is available in the Nintendo Switch App.
The registration period began on October 26 and closes on November 7 at 9:30 a.m. Pacific Time, just before the competition starts.
To participate, you’ll need access to Splatoon 3, a compatible Nintendo Switch system, a Nintendo Account, an internet connection, and Nintendo Switch Online.
The tournament is open to eligible residents of the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Players must be at least 13 years old in the United States and Canada, or 18 in Mexico. Additional eligibility requirements apply, so it’s worth checking Nintendo’s official rules before registering.
Everyone Has a Chance to Earn Platinum Points
Even if you don’t finish near the top of the leaderboard, there’s another reason to join. Eligible participants can receive 50 My Nintendo Platinum Points for taking part in the event.
Nintendo expects the points to become available around November 14, 2026, through the My Nintendo Missions page. It’s a small bonus compared with the physical prizes, but it’s a nice reward for joining the competition.
