GRAVHOUNDS launches in Xbox Game Preview and Game Pass on November 2, 2026. The co-op action-builder from Octopus Panic Games supports one to four players, challenging squads to salvage resources and survive hostile alien worlds.

Microsoft included the release in its October 30 Xbox lineup. The studio also explained the game’s unusual premise in an earlier Xbox Wire interview.

You play as a bio-engineered dog

Players control bio-engineered dogs sent into dangerous industrial work far from home. Stranded on the other side of the galaxy, the team takes salvage jobs under the watch of a shipboard AI named COSMO. That premise gives the game’s gathering and building systems an offbeat personality.

Build, defend, and extract

Missions send players to hostile planets to gather supplies, construct defenses, and escape with their resources. The longer the team stays, the greater both the danger and potential reward. Physics-based systems can turn a carefully planned mission into unpredictable chaos.

You can tackle objectives alone, but the game is built to encourage teamwork. Splitting up can help gather more resources, while sticking together makes it easier to defend against alien threats.

What Xbox Game Preview means

GRAVHOUNDS is an unfinished game launching through Xbox Game Preview. Its mechanics, content and balance may change as development continues, and a final full release is not guaranteed. Players should approach it with that expectation.

Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere

The November 2 release is planned for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, with day-one Game Pass access and Xbox Play Anywhere support. Check the Xbox Store for regional subscription eligibility and updated launch details.

For players looking for a new co-op game, GRAVHOUNDS mixes construction, combat and risky extraction into a promising package—just remember that this is its Game Preview debut, not a finished launch.
